Travel Soccer

Audubon travel soccer provides the opportunity for teams from our club to compete against similarly skilled teams from other clubs in the South Jersey area.

Our teams compete in two primary leagues - the South Jersey Soccer League (Boys) and the South Jersey Girls Soccer League (Girls). Together, these leagues consist of over 70 different soccer clubs fielding over 800 soccer teams from as far north as Princeton – to as far south as Cape May.

The youngest age division is the U8 (Under 8) division for both boys and girls, which is for children who will turn 8 years old in that soccer year (August 1 to July 31). Players in the SJSL and SJGSL can continue playing as they advance through high school.

Practice is usually twice a week in the fall. Once a week in the Spring. Extra practices are up to the coaches so please be in contact with them via your team group chat.

You will be required to purchase a uniform kit every 2 years (be sure to order a size your child can wear for 2 years) . New kits will be ordered for the Fall season of 2025. Each kit will have 2 jerseys, 1 pair of shorts and 1 pair of socks. Practice jerseys are the decision of the head coach. Uniforms will range from $135-$165. Orders will be placed through the Soccer Post uniform website starting in May of the season before. You will be able to go to the Soccer Post Cherry Hill location for a fitting before placing your order.

Girls travel games are Sat. late morning thru afternoons (10 week schedule).
Boys travel games are Sunday late morning thru afternoons (10 week schedule).

New School Year Division Information

Starting with the Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 season and beyond U.S. Soccer, US Club Soccer, and NJ Youth Soccer have changed the age group model for soccer in the United States. This is not a decision that was made by ASYA directly, however we must abide by the new, national change.

We are aware that this change may affect some players within the soccer club, as it will for all soccer clubs across the country. However, ASYA has made some mods to help cause the least impact to existing teams and age groups as possible.

Age Group Models

Current Age Group
- Birth Year Model: January 1st (oldest player) – December 31st (youngest player) of a given year.
New Age Group
- School Year Model: August 1st (oldest player) – July 31st (youngest player) of the following year.
  - For example August 1, 2019 – July 31, 2020
  - New Jersey doesn't follow the same school year model as other states, we are allowing a 'bridge' for players born between 8/1-9/30 to stay with where their current classmates age group is, if preferred, for new and existing travel players. This allows us to adhere to the rule and help teams to remain together, if preferred, while being socially inclusive, keeping the spirit of the game and increasing participation with peer level classmates.
